Spartans Fall to Southern New Hampshire Penmen 0-3

The STAC Men's Soccer team traveled to Manchester, NH this weekend to take on Northeast-10 foe Southern New Hampshire State University.  The Penmen got off to a quick start scoring their first goal just under two minutes into the game.

Junior Kevin Woods was awarded a penalty kick at 1:56 after he was brought down in the box by a Spartan defender.  Woods converted on the kick to give the Penmen a 1-0 lead.  Juniors Adrian Schippers and Brendan Joseph also scored to end the half 3-0.

Andres Gomez, Steven Rozycki and Peter O'Malley had shot attempts on goal that were saved by SNHU goalie Joey Kapinos who recorded the shut out.

Freshmen goalie Andrew Tartara recorded five saves in the first half for the Spartans.  Freshmen Nicholas Croce made his collegiate debut in goal coming in for the second half, recording the first save of his career.
