Spartans Blast Griffins, 6-0

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team beat visiting Chestnut Hill College, 6-0 in this afternoon's game.  The Spartans received goals from seniors Jesse Trajkovski and Jon Michael Nabais who were two of the three seniors honored in a pre-game ceremony for their senior day.  Fellow senior Michael Felix played a solid game for STAC as the three seniors ended their careers on a high note.

Remington Lee continued with his hot foot as he scored the first goal of the game for STAC off an assist from freshman Daniel Davren.  Lee has scored in three out of the last four games all of which STAC has won.  Davren also added a goal of his own later in the game as he finished his rookie season with five goals and seven assists. 

Brendan Flynn scored the second goal of the first half off an assist from Jorge Mera.  Flynn and Mera finish the season with two and four goals respectively.  Travkovski's goal came at the 80:10 mark as the Spartans rattled off three goals in the final ten minutes of the game.  Trajkovski completes his career with two goals and two assists as he spent most of his time controlling STAC's backfield.  

Junior Renan Lopes scored with five minutes remaining in the game off an assit from James Earl.  Lopes had a team high six goals for the Spartans while adding two assists.  Nabais put the icing on the cake as he scored the final goal of the game and his third of the season off an assist from Peter O'Malley.  O'Malley also assisted on Davren's goal and finishes the season with a total of four assists.

St. Thomas Aquinas goal keeper Nicholas Croce had six saves for the game and a total of 84 saves for the season.  Croce picked up his second shut out of his career.   The Spartans finish their season at 7-9-1 overall and 2-5-0 in the ECC.
