The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team lost to Mercy College, 1-0.  The Spartans played a hard fought game outshooting the Mavericks 20-11.  James Earl and Chris Hernandez each had three shots on goal that were saved by Mercy goalie Martin Walsh.  Nicholas Croce had four saves for the Spartans.

Artiz Artoni scored for Mercy at the 70:07 minute mark to end the defensive battle.  STAC will return to action on Saturday as they travel to C.W. Post for a 2:00 game.
