Spartans Host 1st Alumni Game

Spartans Host 1st Alumni Game

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team hosted its first alumni game at the Tourn Valley Sports Complex.  Sixteen alumni participated in the event to play against the current Spartans.  The event was a great opportunity for the players to build connections and reflect on the strong foundation that was built into the Spartan Soccer program.

Returning for the Alumni team were faces such as Doug Henery who last graced the field for STAC 6 years ago.  Sean McEnery returned in the goal for the alum.  McEnery still holds STAC's NCAA Div. II saves percentage record.  Luckas Hausner a former all conference scholar-athlete of the year in his last year at STAC was present.  Steve Ocampo, Johnathon Galliano, Charlie Sanon,  Thomas Hausner and Chris Jones joined recent grads, Steve Rozicki, Guessippi Charrielli, Mike Felix.

"Last night we got what we deserved for all our hard work and that was to see smiling successful young men", commented Head Coach Graham Brown.  "The boys have moved on to great things and I was so proud be a part of their new success.  For example, Doug Henery is now on his way to being the head of Science Department in Washingtonville HS, and Luckas Hausner is working in Manhattan in a major financial company."
