Davren, Cowpar and Tartara Earn All ECC Honors

St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer players Daniel Davren, David Cowpar and Andrew Tartara earned All Conference honors as voted upon the ECC men's soccer coaches.  Davren and Cowpar were named to the fist team while Tartara was named to the second team.  The Spartans are coming off their best regular season record of 12-4-1.

Davren led the Spartans in scoring this season with 25 points off 9 goals and 8 assists.  Davren is also ranked among the top 40 in the country in total points, assists, points per game and assists per game. 

Cowpar a freshman from Ireland has been a tremendous asset to the Spartan defense.  Cowpar was named the ECC Defenisive Player of the Week in October as the Spartan defense allowed the second fewest goals in the ECC.  Cowpar also added three goals for the Spartans this season.

Tartara along with the Spartan defense recorded 4 shutouts this season.  The junior keeper has the second fewest goals scored on him along with the second highest saves percentage in the ECC.  Tartara was named the ECC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season.  He is also among the top 30 in the country in goals against average as well as saves percentage. 

The Spartans will miss veteran seniors, Conor Flynn, Chris Hernandez, Renan Lopes and Peter O'Malley as they finished their eligibility this season.  STAC returns 9 starters for next season along with other key reserves.
