The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team beat the University of New Haven, 2-1 this afternoon.  Joseph Connolly and Renan Lopes each scored for the Spartans.  Andrew Tartara had 5 saves for STAC.

STAC got on the board first behind a rebounded header from Connolly at the 40 minute mark.  Lopes gave the Spartans a 2-0 lead with twenty minutes remaining in the game as the senior notched his first goal of the season. 

STAC is currently ranked 5th in the NCAA East Region and moves to 10-1-1 overall.  The victory marks the Spartans highest win total since the school transitioned to NCAA Division II.  STAC will host C.W. Post on Saturday at 12:30.
