Spartans Ranked 5th in the East Region

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team is ranked 5th in this weeks East Region Poll.  The Spartans jumped up three spots after a 2-0 week, including a 3-0 win over previously #7 ranked Chestnut Hill.  STAC is lead by Daniel Davren who has recorded 4 goals and 4 assists and was named this week ECC Offensive Player of the Week.  Davren had 2 goals and 3 assists this week. 

Senior goal keeper Andrew Tartara was named the ECC Defensive Player of the Week this week after recording 8 saves and picking up his third shutout of the season.  Remington Lee and Joe Connolly each had a strong week for the Spartans netting 2 goals each.   

The Spartans have held their opponents to 3 goals in 6 games thanks to the solid defensive line of Edgar Barragan, Ethan Evans, William Miller and Kurt Schuler.  STAC will open conference play against regionally ranked Dowling College.  The Lions were ranked 4th in this weeks regional poll.

STAC is 4-0-2 going into Saturday's game which will be played at Eugen Levy Memorial Park.
