The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team beat Lock Haven University, 3-1 on Monday afternoon. The Spartans received goals from Dan Davren, Joseph Connolly and Sean Reily. Andrew Tartara recorded 4 saves in the win for the Spartans.
Davren's goal came at the 28 minute mark as he collected a rebounded ball to put the Spartans ahead 1-0. Davren's goal was his 6th of the season and the Spartans first goal in three games. Connolloy added his 5th goal of the year as a misplaced ball got past one of the Lock Haven defenders in the first half.
Reily added to the Spartans offensive output early in the second half off a free kick around the 22nd yard line. STAC had 10 shots on goal to Lock Haven's 5. Chris Frederick recorded 4 saves for the Eagles while Brad Sumski had 3.
The Spartans are now 7-1-4 and will travel to Molloy College on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. game.
