The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team defeated the University of the District of Columbia in the Spartans final home game.  Joseph Connolly scored two goals and had one assist. Sean Reily added one goal for his sixth goal of the season.  Andrew Tartara recorded 3 saves in the win.

Reily tallied the first goal for the Spartans at the 28:02 mark off an assist from Connolly.  It marked the only goal of the first half.  Connolly sparked the second half with two goals in a three minute span.  The first was at 62:28 off an assist from Robert Hirt and William Miller.  Andrew Tartara found Connelly at 65:31 to ensure the Spartan victory.  Connelly now has seven goals for the season.

STAC had 8 shots on goal to UDC's 3.  Kyle Heatherington recorded 4 save for the Firebirds while Alex Vert added 1.  The Spartans are now 10-2-4 overall and 2-2-2 in ECC play.  The Spartans return to action on Saturday in the finale of the regular season.  The game is scheduled to begin at 2:30pm.
