STAC Men's Soccer Improves to #9 in NSCAA Regional Rankings

The St. Thomas Aquinas College men's soccer team moved up one slot, improving to #9 in the East Regional Rankings from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America on September 27.

Off to their best start since the 2011 squad recorded six wins and three ties in its first nine contests, the Spartans now stand at 5-1-1 on the season, with their lone game of the week resulting in a 0-0 East Coast Conference tie at Queens College. Perhaps more impressively, the squad has just completed a stretch of five straight road games, compiling a 3-1-1 mark over that span.

St. Thomas Aquinas made its first appearance of the season in last week's poll, debuting at the #10 slot before moving up one position this week. The Spartans will look to continue their momentum with four straight games at home, starting with an ECC tilt with the University of the District of Columbia on Wednesday, September 28, at 3:00 pm.

They will host Mercy College - ranked #7 in this week's poll - for another conference showdown at Spartan Field on Saturday, October 1, before the University of New Haven (Wednesday, October 5) and Molloy College (Saturday, October 8) pay a call to Sparkill.
