Jack Nicholson Earns 2018 Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer goalie Jack Nicholson was named as a Google Cloud NCAA Division II Academic All-District First team selection on Thursday afternoon by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Nicholson closed out his stellar 4-year career with the Spartans, registering a 10-5-1 record with a 1.44 goals against average and .672 save percentage this season, while posting 5 shutouts. His ability to also provide offense for the team certainly did not go unnoticed, as the Totton Southampton, England native picked up a highlight reel game tying goal vs. UDC and an assist on another tally against Holy Family University this year.

This season, Nicholson was named a three-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 10th, Oct. 9th & Oct. 24th) and an ECC Third Team All-Conference pick.

An excellent athlete on the soccer pitch, Jack is also a very strong student in the classroom, as he currently maintains a 3.53 GPA, while seeking his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Sports Management.

In addition, to his athletic and academic accolades and achievements, Jack currently serves as one of Division II National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's two representatives on the NCAA Division II Management Council and continues to serve as the Chair of the ECC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, assisting the conference with a wide variety of student-athlete initiatives.
