STAC Men's Soccer Drops 3-1 Decision to Bloomsburg

Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer team dropped a 3-1 non-conference decision to Bloomsburg University on Wednesday afternoon at Spartan Field. The Spartans moved to 4-5-1, while the Huskies improved to 10-2-1.

How it Happened

  • In second half action, Bloomsburg's third goal came off of a rush up the far sideline by Liam Harmon in the 85th minute. Harmon would find Anthony Schlee who dribbled through a Spartan defender and found Sammy Ames at the opposite post for an easy tap-in.
  • STAC finally broke the shutout in the 85th minute, when a Jorge Umana shot was blocked by the Huskies defense, and the rebound was corralled by Angel Catalan Hernandez and put to the back of the net to make it 3-1.
