Goalkeeper Calle Olle Petter Gunnarsson of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer team has been named the East Coast Conference Men's Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week, following the Spartans 2-0 week on the pitch.
Gunnarsson (Stockholm, Sweden) allowed just one goal over 160 minutes of action in two wins last week. The freshman netminder went 9-for-10 in saves with eight saves in a 2-1 win over District of Columbia and two saves in a 5-0 win over D'Youville for a 0.56 goals against average and a .909 save percentage.
STAC (5-1-2, 3-0 ECC) hosts Georgian Court University in a non-conference matchup at Spartan Field on Tuesday, October 3 with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
