STAC Men's Soccer #6 in Latest United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer team has been ranked #6 in the latest United Soccer Coaches East Region poll, which was released on Tuesday afternoon.

Last week's split of contests against Felician University (L, 2-1) and the College of Staten Island (W, 2-0) has STAC sitting with a 7-2-3 overall record, and a perfect 4-0-1 ECC mark.

The Spartans are currently being led by Kevon Evans (Jr./Forward/Ossining, N.Y.) - 9 goals and 7 Assists for 25 Points, Alejandro Zuniga (Fr./Midfield/Naples, Fla.) - 4 goals and 6 Assists for 14 Points and Nicholas Sadorf (So./Forward/Tampa, Fla.) - 6 goals for 13 Points.

In the net, keeper Calle Olle Petter Gunnarsson (Fr./Stockholm, Sweden) leads the way for STAC, posting a 7-0-3 record in 12 matches (10 starts), with a 1.11 goals against average and a .813 save percentage.

The team's offense currently averages 2.67 goals per game, while the defense and goaltending gives up an average of 1.25 goals per contest.

St. Thomas Aquinas continues conference play on Wednesday, October 18, when the Spartans visit Queens College for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff with the Knights.
