STAC Men's Soccer Rises to #7 in United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Soccer team has been ranked #7 in the latest United Soccer Coaches East Region poll, which was released on Tuesday afternoon.

Last week's sweep of matches against Saint Michael's College (3-1) and Molloy University (4-0) has STAC sitting with a perfect 3-0-2 overall record, and a 1-0 ECC mark.

The Spartans are currently being led by Kevon Evans (Jr./Forward/Ossining, N.Y.) - 5 goals and 3 Assists for 13 Points, Alejandro Zuniga (Fr./Midfield/Naples, Fla.) - 3 goals and 3 Assists for 9 Points and Nicholas Sadorf (So./Forward/Tampa, Fla.) - 4 goals for 8 Points.

In the net, keeper Calle Olle Petter Gunnarsson (Fr./Stockholm, Sweden) leads the way for STAC, posting a 3-0-2 record in 5 matches (4 starts), with a 1.46 goals against average and a .701 save percentage.

The team's offense currently averages 3.40 goals per game, while the defense and goaltending gives up an average of 1.40 goals per contest.

STAC returns to action on Saturday, September 23, in a non-conference road contest with Assumption University. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in Worcester, Massachusetts.
