How it Happened
First Minute: Off of a corner kick by Francisco Degiorgi, a clear attempt by CSI was sent out of the box and back to Degiorgi who then sent a pass into traffic in front of the net where Yahir Hernandez headed the ball to the back of the onion bag, past a diving Justin Karaburan to make it 1-0 Spartans.
41st Minute: A corner kick opportunity, this time by Staten Island's Korsay Arslan, was sent to Peterson Larose for another cross attempt in front of the net. However, Larose's pass eluded both the STAC defense corps and keeper Johan Morales and rolled to the back of the net tying the score at 1-1.
71st Minute: STAC's offensive pressure finally paid off, as several touch passes led to Jerry Tagliavia to find a wide open Erik Wikan for a low blast by Karaburan to give the maroon and gold a one-goal advantage at 2-1.
84th Minute: The host Dolphins tying goal came on a free kick restart, where the ball was sent downfield to a waiting Billy Pavlou in the corner. Pavlou then slipped by his defender and sent a feed to a breaking Miguel Espinosa who buried a shot past Morales at the left post to knot the score at 2-2.
