The St. Thomas Aquinas men’s tennis team started off the season strong with a close 4-
3 loss at LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA. Javier Munoz and Inigo Aldekoa won a 
contentious doubles game at 8-5. Inigo secured first singles at 6-2, 6-2 and Javier secured third 
singles 6-3, 6-3.

In a grueling singles battle, Antoine Venard came back from a set down to win 
in the tiebreaker: 4-6, 6-2, (17-15).  The Spartans will play Division I Rider on Sunday.
