Orlando, Fla. – The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Tennis team closed its 2002 Florida Spring Break tour with a 5-2 setback to Division I University of North Dakota on Friday afternoon.
North Dakota opened the contest, taking the doubles point on the strength of a three match sweep.
In singles action, the Fighting Hawks took four of the six contests to win the team head-to-head matchup. The Spartans victories came at the No. 2 position as Eduard Simo beat Cian McDonnell 7-5, 6-3 and Odysseas Papaioannou's triumph at No. 3 over Nikita Snezhko in a third set tie-breaker, 5-7, 7-5, 1-0 (12).
