Henry Ronnberg has been named the East Coast Conference Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans lone match of last week against Jefferson University.
Ronnberg (Ahus, Sweden) went 1-1 in St. Thomas Aquinas’ match-up with the Rams, first dropping his doubles bout (with teammate Seth Newman) to Jules Thibault and Antonio Mateos Melenchon at No. 3 doubles before defeating Johary Rabetrano 6-4, 6-1 at No. 6 singles to put the maroon and gold up, 2-1. STAC eventually fell to CACC preseason favorite Jefferson, 4-2.
St. Thomas Aquinas (2-2) opens its ECC schedule on Saturday, March 2 (6:45 p.m.), when the Spartans host the University of the District of Columbia at Match Point Tennis Club in Orangeburg, N.Y.
