THE ROCKHILL REPORT

"I am pleased that the team finished the trip on a high note," said Head Coach Dan Rockhill. "We played four tough teams that gave us the competition we were expecting. College doubles is difficult to predict. A few points can decide everything. I still maintain that if we can win doubles points consistently, we will be difficult to beat in the region."

"I was not sure how we would play today having our fourth difficult match in five days but I was pleased that our conditioning held up," commented Rockhill. "Lorenzo specifically had a long match last night but it was his opponent that retired from the match today. Seth and Henry continue be terrific competitors. They are both hungry to improve and very coachable.  Ondrej came through for his teammates today. Down 4-1 in the third set with the entire match on the line, he came back to win five games on the trot and secured the match for the Spartans.

"We had opportunities to win all our matches on the trip but the competition was very tough," stated Rockhill. "We are improving daily, which is what we need to do if we want to be successful in the ECC and beyond."
