Kyran Versteegen Scores ECC Men's Volleyball Player of the Week Honors

St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball player Kyran Versteegen was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans 3-0 blanking of American International College last weekend to capture the inaugural ECC Regular Season title.

Versteegen (Sittard, Netherlands) recorded a .478 hitting percentage in the Spartans conference victory over the Yellow Jackets. The St. Thomas Aquinas freshman totaled 14 kills (4.67 kills per set), four service aces, three digs, a solo block, and five block assists across three sets. 

STAC (9-12, 5-1 ECC) has earned the top seed and hosting duties for the upcoming East Coast Conference Men's Volleyball Tournament, which takes place Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21 at the Hennessy Center on the campus of Dominican University. The Spartans will face #4 American International College, as #2 Roberts Wesleyan takes on #3 Dominican University in the semifinal round. The winners of both matches will faceoff the very next day for the right to be called the first-ever ECC Men's Volleyball Champion.
