St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball players Joaquin La Jara and Andre Cippiciani were each selected for the East Coast Conference's weekly honors on Monday, following the Spartans 3-0 victory over Dominican University last week to remain atop the ECC standings.

La Jara was tabbed as the ECC Setter of the Week, while Cippiciani scored ECC Rookie of the Week kudos.

La Jara (Lima, Peru) totaled 29 assists (9.67 assists per set), one kill, and four digs in STAC's 3-0 conference win over the Chargers.

Cippiciani (Sao Paulo, Brazil) recorded a .353 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep over Dominican. The St. Thomas Aquinas freshman totaled nine kills and a service ace.

STAC (8-12, 4-1 ECC) closes out regular season play on Saturday, April 13 (2:30 p.m.), when the Spartans host American International College at the Hennessy Center in Blauvelt, N.Y.
