
Brooklyn, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team wrapped up a season-long five-match road trip on Friday evening, falling to Long Island University (LIU), 3-0 at the Steinberg Wellness Center.
STAC slips to 5-12 on the season, while LIU improves to 8-11 with its fourth straight victory.

How it Happened
- As a team, LIU recorded 35 kills compared to STAC's 25. The Sharks also had a 9 blocks and 32 assists, while the Spartans tallied 2 blocks and 22 assists.
- Kyran Versteegen (S, OH/OPP), Gabriel Vieira (OH/OPP) and Andre Cippiciani (OH/OPP) paced the Spartans offense with a team-high six kills apiece on Thursday. Versteegen registered a dig and a block assist.
- Vieira also recorded a team-high five digs in the match.
- Joaquin La Jara (S) tallied 15 serve assists (5.0 assists/set), one service ace and three digs for the maroon and gold.
- Nicholas Santos (OH/OPP) racked up two kills and a block assist for the Spartans.
- Thomas Santos (L) picked up three digs on the evening.
