St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball players Gabriel Vieira, Ivaylo Todorov, Marcus Franck and Jannis Freude were each selected for the East Coast Conference's weekly awards on Monday, following the Spartans 3-0 victory over Roberts Wesleyan University to clinch the program's second straight ECC Regular Season title.
Viera was tabbed as the ECC Player of the Week, while Todorov took home Defensive Player of the Week, Franck Setter of the Week and Freude Rookie of the Week.
Vieira (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) tallied 14 kills (.300 hitting percentage), six digs, one service ace, and two assisted blocks across three total sets in an ECC road victory against Roberts Wesleyan to lead STAC to its second straight East Coast Conference Regular Season Championship and the right to host the upcoming East Coast Conference Men's Volleyball Tournament next weekend.
Todorov (Aktau, Kazakhstan) recorded 15 digs over three total sets in STAC’s 3-0 ECC road win against the Redhawks on Saturday.
Franck (Congonhas, Brazil) totaled 32 assists for an average of 10.7 assists per set, two kills, eight digs, and four assisted blocks in a 3-0 ECC road victory over Roberts Wesleyan.
Freude (Oldenburg, Germany) accumulated nine kills and five digs across three total sets in STAC's 3-0 ECC road win over the Redhawks last Saturday.
STAC (13-9, 5-0 ECC) hosts Dominican University in its 2025 Regular Season finale at the Spartan Athletic Complex on Saturday, April 12 at noon.
