
Rochester, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team have added yet another banner to the Spartan Athletic Complex walls on Saturday afternoon, as the maroon and gold took home their second straight East Coast Conference Regular Season title with a 3-0 sweep of Roberts Wesleyan University at the Voller Athletic Center in Western New York.
STAC improves to 13-9 overall and 5-0 in ECC play, while Roberts Wesleyan slips to 9-17 and 2-3.
The victory also gives the Spartans the hosting duties for the upcoming East Coast Conference Men's Volleyball Tournament, which will take place on April 18 and 19 in Sparkill.

How it Happened
- As a team, STAC recorded 37 kills compared to Robert's Wesleyan's 38. The Spartans also had 7 blocks and 33 assists, while the Redhawks tallied 4.5 blocks and 37 assists.
- St. Thomas Aquinas College outhit Roberts Wesleyan University by a .321 to .165 margin for the match.
- Gabriel Vieira led the Spartans offense with a team-high 14 kills. He also had a service ace, six digs and two block assists.
- Marcus Franck tallied 32 set assists (10.7 assists/set). Franck also accumulated two kills, eight digs and four block assists for the maroon and gold.
- Jannis Freude registered nine kills and five digs for the Spartans.
- Kyran Versteegen picked up eight kills and six digs for STAC on Saturday.
- David Weiss earned three kills, a service ace, a solo block and four block assists against the Redhawks.
- Raoul Kerkdijk recorded a kill, an assist, two digs and two block assists on the afternoon.
- Ivaylo Todorov accumulated 15 digs over three sets.
- STAC has now recorded nine sweeps in 22 total matches this season.
