
Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team continued its recent stretch of outstanding play on Saturday morning by sweeping East Coast Conference opponent American International College, 3-0, at the Spartan Athletic Complex in Rockland County.
STAC claims its sixth straight victory and improves to 9-6 overall and 2-0 in ECC play, while AIC slips to 2-11 and 0-2.

How it Happened
- As a team, STAC recorded 37 kills compared to AIC's 38. The Spartans also had 11 blocks and 34 assists, while the Yellow Jackets tallied 3 blocks and 38 assists.
- St. Thomas Aquinas College outhit American International College by a .351 to .178 margin for the match.
- Gabriel Vieira led the Spartans offense with a match-high 12 kills. He also had a service ace, four digs, two solo blocks and three block assists.
- Marcus Franck tallied 22 serve assists (7.33 assists/set). Franck also accumulated four kills, three service aces, two digs, a solo block and a block assist for the maroon and gold.
- Kyran Versteegen registered 11 kills, three assists, four digs and a solo block for the Spartans.
- Andre Cippiciani recorded three kills, three assists and a dig on the morning.
- David Weiss picked up three kills, a solo block and three block assists for STAC on Saturday.
- Ivaylo Todorov accumulated a kill and nine digs over three sets.
- STAC has now recorded five sweeps over its last six matches (six total on the year).
