
Sparkill, N.Y. - The top-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team advanced to its second-straight ECC title match with a 3-0 victory over #4 American International College in the semifinal round of the conference tournament, held at the Spartan Athletic Complex on Friday.
STAC improves to 15-9 overall and will face #2 seed Roberts Wesleyan University in the East Coast Conference Men's Volleyball Tournament Final on Saturday afternoon (2:00 p.m.) in Sparkill. Roberts Wesleyan defeated #3 Dominican University, 3-0 in the other semifinal matchup. Meanwhile, American International closes out its 2024-2025 campaign at 4-20 and 0-6 in league play.

How it Happened
- As a team, STAC recorded 38 kills compared to American International's 29. The Spartans also had 12 blocks and 35 assists, while the Yellow Jackets tallied 1 block and 26 assists.
- St. Thomas Aquinas College outhit American International College by a .557 to .092 margin for the match.
- Gabriel Vieira led the Spartans offense with a match-high 14 kills. He also had six digs, a solo block and four block assists.
- Marcus Franck tallied 31 set assists (10.33 assists/set). Franck also accumulated a kill, three service aces, four digs and two block assists for the maroon and gold.
- Kyran Versteegen registered 10 kills, an assist, a service ace, a dig and two block assists for the Spartans.
- Jannis Freude picked up eight kills, two digs and two block assists for STAC on Friday.
