
Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team opened a two-match weekend series with Northeast Conference Western New York opponents at the Spartan Athletic Complex. Friday evening's match featured the maroon and gold taking a straight sets 3-0 sweep over D'Youville University.
STAC improves to 4-6 overall on the year, while D'Youville falls to 1-5.

- As a team, STAC recorded 43 kills compared to D'Youville's 37. The Spartans also had 7 blocks and 39 assists, while the Saints tallied 7 blocks and 30 assists.
- St. Thomas Aquinas College outhit D'Youville by a .225 to .167 margin for the match.
- Gabriel Vieira led the Spartans offense with 17 kills. He also had a service ace, six digs and two block assists.
