
Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team saw its program-best seven-match win streak snapped on Friday evening, as the maroon and gold were handed their first defeat in a little over a month, 3-0 at the hands of Merrimack College.
STAC slips to 10-7 overall, while Merrimack improves to 9-4.

- As a team, Merrimack recorded 42 kills compared to STAC's 28. The Warriors also had 6 blocks and 39 assists, while the Spartans tallied 3 blocks and 26 assists.
- Merrimack College outhit St. Thomas Aquinas College by a .378 to .208 margin for the match.
- Gabriel Vieira led the Spartans offense with eight kills. He also had seven digs and three block assists.
- Marcus Franck tallied 23 serve assists (7.67 assists/set). Franck also accumulated three kills and two digs for the maroon and gold.
- Jannis Freude registered eight kills, an assist and two digs for the Spartans.
