The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team beat Bridgeport, 3-2 and 4-1 in today's double header.  Sharis Ruiz went 4-for-7 with 3 runs while Michelle Sasso and Heather Clausen each added 2 hits for the day.  Clausen had 3 RBI for the Lady Spartans.  Maura Power and Megan Sweezy each picked up a win on the mound for STAC.

STAC edged the Purple Knightsin the 7th as Clausen reached on a fielders choice to score Sasso who tripled and scored the go ahead run.  In the second game of the day, Sweezy had 5 strike outs yielding just one run. 

The Lady Spartans will return to action on Tuesday when they host Queens College.
