The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to NYIT, 7-1 and 10-0 on Tuesday afternoon.  Kim Nowak went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Nikolette Nevola was 1-for-3 with a run in game one.  Jamie McCormick went 3-for-7 for the day and Shelby Coyle was 3-for-5.  

The Bears finished game one with 2 runs in the 6th and 7th to keep the Lady Spartans out of reach.  Julie Sosnicki took the loss on the mound.  NYIT used a 6 run 3rd inning to to give them a comfortable lead and shut the Lady Spartans out in 5 innings.  

STAC will return to action on Friday when they travel to Molloy College.
