The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team split with Queens College on Thursday afternoon picking up a 4-3 win in game two.  The Spartans used a 3-run 5th inning to overcome the Knights.  Samantha McDonald went 2-for-3 with a RBI and a run while picking up the win on the mound. 

Toni Ann Groth went 2-for-2 including a 2 RBI single in the 5th to give STAC a one run lead.  McDonald yielded one hit and had a strike out in her three innings.  In game one, Nikolette Nevola had an RBI single to score Lauren Navarro giving STAC their lone run.  

The Lady Spartans will return to action on Sunday when they face Bloomfield.
