The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost at Queens College, 7-1 and 10-2 on Saturday afternoon.  The Spartans got their only run for game one off an RBI single from Danielle DiModugno scoring Samantha McDonald.  Brittany Mangan went 3-for-4 and the Spartans left nine stranded.  Game two was highlighted by a Samantha McDonald 2-run homer scoring Katherine Barbaro.

Trailing 4-0 and with two outs McDonald hit a double to center field to setting up DiModugno.  The freshmen singled to right field driving in STAC's only run for the game.  The Knights went on to score three more runs in the bottom of the inning and secure the 7-1 win.  

Later in the day, Barbaro singled to right field and was brought home by McDonald's 6th home run of the season.  STAC had 5 hits for the game and left 7 stranded.  

The Spartans will host Molloy College on Sunday.
