The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team beat Philadelphia University, 5-4 and 8-0.  Briana Emanuele's 3 run home run in the 5th lifted the Spartans over the Rams.  Samantha McDonald hit a 3 run homer in game two to keep the scoring going for the Spartans.  

The Spartans went into the bottom of the 7th down 4-0 when Kim Nowak's RBI single put STAC on the scoreboard scoring Erin McCarthy.  Danielle DiModugno scored on an error to bring STAC win two stating the stage for Emauele's winning hit.  

In game two, STAC's 4-run 4th inning was highlighted by McDonald's home run also scoring Brittany Mangan and Emanuele.  McDonald struck again with another home run in the bottom of the 6th, giving her her 5th RBI for the game and sealing the win for STAC.  

The Spartans will host NYIT on Thursday at 3:00 pm.
