The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost at Molloy College, 28-2 and 12-4 on Saturday afternoon. Erin McCarthy's 2-run home run highlighted game one.  In game two a solo home run by Brittany Malloy and a 3 run homer by Danielle DiModugno put all the runs on the board for STAC.  

In the first at bat of the day, Samantha McDonald reached first on a fielding error and was drivn home by McCarthy's first career home run as a Spartan.  The Lions put 7 runs on the board in the bottom of the inning and used a powerful 16 run 4th inning to end the game.   

In game two, STAC scored all four of their runs in the 4th inning as Malloy led off with a solo home run.  Singles by McCarthy and Kim Nowak set the stage for DiModugnowho also hit her first career home run.  The Spartans were within two, 4-6 but the Lions added two more runs for each of the final three innings to secure the win.

STAC will play Dowling College on Sunday.
