The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to LIU Post, 1-0 & 5-0 on Saturday afternoon. 

In game one, the Spartans had four hits and left six stranded struggling to score a run.  Julie Sosnicki gave up six hits and had three stirkeouts in the loss.  The Spartans defense played a hard fought game giving up a late run off an error in the bottom of the 5th.  Brittany Malloy went 2-for-3 for the Spartans.

In game two, the Spartans were held to just one hit compared to the Pioneers eight hits that lead to five runs.  Briana Keaveney took the loss on the mound for the Spartans.

STAC will host LIU Post on Monday for a double header starting at 2:00 p.m.
