St. Thomas Aquinas College Softball player Eliana Raposo was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week, for a third consecutive week on Monday, following the Spartans 4-0 week on the diamond, with victories doubleheader sweeps over Mercy University and D'Youville University
Raposo (Wareham, Mass.) hit .364 (4-for-11) with two homers, nine RBI and four runs scored over four games last week for STAC. The sophomore outfielder/pitcher also drew two walks, stole 1-of-2 bases and threw out the potential tying run from centerfield for D'Youville at the plate to end the game for the Spartans in a 7-6 win. In the circle, the righty went 2-0 with a 1.40 ERA, allowing just three earned runs on 14 hits, while walking four and fanning five over 10 innings of work.
STAC (16-14, 5-1 ECC) next travels to Garden City, New York to face Adelphi University on Thursday (April 4) in a non-conference doubleheader that is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm.
