Sparkill, N.Y. – St. Thomas Aquinas College dominated the 2025 East Coast Conference (ECC) Softball All-Conference awards announced today with Eliana Raposo winning the Player of the Year for the second straight season and Head Coach Kristen Sullivan recognized as Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season.
Raposo and Sullivan headlined STAC’s overwhelming recognition on the All-Conference team by virtue of the Spartans winning their fourth straight regular-season championship with a 16-4 mark. They are currently ranked fifth in the NCAA Division II East Region poll with an overall record of 28-17.
Sarah Clancy was named Co-Pitcher of the Year and freshman Sofia Marella was named Rookie of the Year.
Joining Raposo (outfield) and Clancy with first-team All-ECC honors were Elyse Marcano (second base), Adrianna Coira (shortstop) and Trinadey Santiago (third base). Marella (designated player), Maristella Coira (outfield) and Jessica Feerick (first base) were named to the second team.
Raposo delivered a terrific regular season and led the ECC in batting average (.408), slugging percentage (.741), hits (60), runs scored (48), and home runs (12). She also compiled 42 RBIs and 17 stolen bases while maintaining a flawless 1.000 fielding percentage in center field. She became the first STAC player in program history to win the Player of the Year award twice.
Clancy, who won the Pitcher of the Year in 2024, shared the award this season with Mercy University’s Skylar Brandemarte. Clancy posted a 15-9 overall record (9-2 ECC) with a 3.18 ERA and a league-best 100 strikeouts. Against ECC opponents, she led the conference in ERA (1.73), opponent batting average (.213), wins (nine), and fewest earned runs allowed (17).
Marella emerged as a key offensive weapon for STAC. She led the conference in RBIs (47), ranked second in home runs (10), and drew 23 walks—most among ECC rookies. Her overall .358 batting average and .453 on-base percentage consistently placed her among the league's top hitters. In ECC matchups, she led all rookies in nearly every major offensive category.
Sullivan earned Coach of the Year honors for the fourth straight season. Her leadership helped STAC rebound from losing their first seven games and winning only one of their first 11 games. They put together a seven-game win streak and an eight-game win streak to vault to the top of the ECC again.
