St. Thomas Aquinas College Softball player Sarah Clancy was named the East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans perfect 4-0 week on the diamond, with wins over conference opponents Mercy and D'Youville last week.

Clancy (Chino Hills, Calif.) registered a 2-0 record on the week with an impressive 0.58 ERA and nine strikeouts. The St. Thomas Aquinas left-hander tossed a five-hit shutout in a 3-0 victory over D'Youville on Friday after scattering just six hits and striking out five in the 14-1 win over Mercy on Tuesday. 

STAC (25-16, 13-3 ECC) next hosts Adelphi University on Wednesday, April 23 at Spartan Field. The non-conference doubleheader between East Region powers will get underway at 2:30 p.m.
