Sparkill, N.Y. - The Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) announced its 2022 all-conference and major award winners on Tuesday, as four of the league's nine member institutions boasted major award winners on offense, defense, special teams, and among the CSFL's 2022 rookie class. The announcement of the award winners was made by CSFL Commissioner Dan Mara. Nominating and voting for the awards was conducted by the league's nine head coaches.

St. Thomas Aquinas College Sprint Football athletes Reno Molina, Donnell White, Jr., and Jayden Bennermon were each named to the All-CSFL First Team, while Molina was also named to the All-CSFL Second Team. In addition, Spartans Dylan Schneider, Christopher Jones, Esmond Oldums, Shawn Benard, Erick Campbell and Kasey Sullivan received honorable mention status by the league.

All-CSFL First Team Offense

Reno Molina (Jr./Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) - Kick Returner

• Returned nine kicks for 221 total yards, averaging 24.6 yards per return.
• Longest return was for 35 yards against Mansfield University on October 8, 2022.

All-CSFL First Team Defense

Donnell White, Jr. (Fr./Jersey City, N.J.) - Defensive Line

• Ranked second on the team with 34.0 total tackles, 9.5 of which were for losses totaling 51 yards.
• Ranked first on the team with 5.5 total sacks for losses totaling 40 yards.

Jayden Bennermon (Jr./Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) - Punter

• Punted the football on 35 separate occasions, for a total of 1379 yards and averaged 39.4 yards per punt.
• Longest punt of the season was 59 yards against Chestnut Hill College on October 29, 2022.
• Recored 1 touchback, 2 fair catches, 4 punts inside the 20-yard line and 6 punts of 50+ yards.

All-CSFL Second Team Offense

Reno Molina (Jr./Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) - Running Back

• Recorded 61 rushing attempts for 232 total yards, and 2 touchdowns, while averaging 33.1 yards per game.

Honorable Mention Offense

Dylan Schneider (Sr./Holtsville, N.Y.) - Offensive Line

• One of the senior members of offensive line, Schneider was been a key protector of quarterbacks Ryan Kenny, Jayden Bennermon, Miles Anderson and Phillip Johnson in 2022, while also helping to create holes for the Spartans running game with his blocking.

Honorable Mention Defense

Christopher Jones (Jr./Newark, N.J.) - Linebacker

• Ranked third on the team with 32.5 total tackles, 4.5 of which were for losses totaling 7 yards.
• Recorded 0.5 total sacks for losses totaling 2 yards.
• Had 1 interception return for 18 yards.

Esmond Oldums (Jr./Bellport, N.Y.) - Linebacker

• Ranked fourth on the team with 28.0 total tackles, 3.0 of which were for losses totaling 11 yards.
• Recorded 1.0 total sacks for losses totaling 1 yards.
• Had 1 forced fumble.

Shawn Benard (Jr./Rochester, N.Y.) - Defensive Back

• Recorded 19.0 total tackles, 1.0 of which was for a loss totaling 1 yard.
• Picked up 3 interceptions for a total of 80 yards.

Erick Campbell (Fr./Queens, N.Y.) - Defensive Back

• Recorded 21.5 total tackles, 1.0 of which was for a loss totaling 4 yards.
• Picked up 3 interceptions for a total of 54 yards.

Kasey Sullivan (Jr./Suffern, N.Y.) - Defensive Back

• Ranked first on the team with 36.5 total tackles.
• Picked up 2 interceptions for a total of 2 yards.
• Recorded 2 blocked kicks.

St. Thomas Aquinas College finished the season with a 3-4 overall record.
