The St.. Thomas Aquinas College men's track & field team finished in 1st place at the East Coast Conference Championship.  The championship was hosted by the Spartans at Clarkstown South High School.

To start the day off, Winslow Dorsainvil took his 4th straight 100 meter title with a time of 10.87 time in the prelims and 10.92 time in the finals.  Dorsainvil finished his 4 year career with the Spartans with 4 straight wins in the 100 meters and 60 meters (indoors).  Dorsainvil is a two-time All American 60 meter runner and has qualified for Division II Nationals in the indoor season for the past 4 seasons as well.  To top off his career with the Spartans he finished in 4th place in the 200 capping off his 1st team title with the Spartans.  JT Aggrey took a 4th place finish in the 100 meters.  St. Jacob Diodonet took 1st place finishes in the 200 (22.21) and 400 (48.68).  For the second straight year Diodonet won the 400 meters at the conference championship and this was his first outdoor 200 title.  Ricardo Reid also finished in 5th place in the 200 with a time of 22.83. 

Dylan Bestler took 1st place in the 400 hurdles with a new school record time of 55.41 and then came back to take a 3rd place finish in the 400 in a time of 50.77 and still helped the 4x800 team (Ryan Gasser, Robbie Guidicipietro, and Joe Lipari) to a second place finish.  Gasser took a 5th place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:00.91.  Guidicpietro took a 4th place finish in the 1500 (4:07..03). Junior Vinny Vazquez finished 3rd in the 5000 (15:55.05). Senior Jamer Linares took 2nd in the 10000 meter to finish his Spartan career with a time of 35:07.77. Mich Philistin took 4th place in the 400 and Ricardo Reid also took a 5th place finish in the 400.

Tristan Holmgren also finished his career as a Spartan by wining the High Jump with a leap of 1.83m (6'0).  Rickssen Opont won both the Shot Put and Discus for his first conference wins of his career.  Opont also finished in 6th place in the hammer. Frankie Schiavone took a 3rd place finish in the Pole Vault with a leap of 3.50m (11'5.75), and also hit a new personal best and 3rd place finish in the 400 hurdles in a time of 55.52.  He then earned a second place 4x4 finish with St. Jacob Diodonet, Mich Philistin and Tristan Holmgren.  In the Long Jump, Keondre Morris took a 1st place finish with a leap of 6.61 (21'8.25) then came back and took 4th place finish in the High Jump 1.63m (5'4.25).  Elias Guardado took two second place finishes in the Long Jump 6.54m (21'5.5) and the Triple Jump with a leap of 13.01m (42'8.25). Mohamed Ifhikar won the triple with a leap of 13.31m (43'8). Tim Faranda also took a 4th place finish in the Javelin throw.
