St. Thomas Aquinas College's Dante Brown was named the East Coast Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, after the Spartans competed in the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet this past Saturday in Easton, PA.
Brown opened up his outdoor season in the long jump by placing first overall with a new school record of 7.30m. The sophomore from Nyack, NY also reached the Division II provisional mark for the NCAA Championships, and is the top jumper in the East Region to date this season.
Dante and his Spartan teammates return to action in two weeks when they compete at the Rider University Invitational in Lawrenceville, NJ on April 13.
