Diodonet Closes Out Collegiate Indoor Track Career with 12th Place Finish at NCAA D2 National Championships

St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Track & Field standout St. Jacob Diodonet competed in the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships on Friday evening in Pittsburg, Kansas.

No stranger to NCAA Championships, Diodonet, the senior sprinter from West Milford, NJ closes out his collegiate Indoor Track career, having now taken part in four consecutive national meets. Saint took to the track in the 400 Meter Dash, finishing 12th overall among Division II competitors with a time of 47.70. The mark is a season best for Diodonet, who also picked up Second Team All-American Honors for his efforts, his third such recognition in four championship events.

In closing out his 4-year Indoor Track Collegiate Career at St. Thomas Aquinas College, St. Jacob's impressive resume now includes:

4x National Qualifier in the 400 Meter Dash
1x National Qualifier in the 200 Meter Dash
3x All-American selection (2017, 2018, 2019)
4x ECC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year 
4x All Region selection in 200M & 400M Dashes 
4x East Coast Conference Indoor Champion in 200M & 400M Dashes

Didonet will now rejoin his teammates, as the Spartan Outdoor Track & Field Season gets underway in Miramar, Florida beginning March 12th with the Nova Southeasten University Shark Invitational, followed by the University of Miami Hurricane Invitational on March 15th in Coral Gables.
