STAC Men's Outdoor Track Squad Ranked First in East Region, Women's Team Holds #2 Position in USTFCCCA Region Poll
In the second week of the USTFCCCA polls the St. Thomas Aquinas College Outdoor Track and Field teams were once again ranked in the top 10, as the men's squad now holds the top spot in the East Region, while the women's team ranks second in their region poll.
 
Individually for the men, Dante Brown is ranked number one in the region in the 100 meters and St. Jacob Diodonet is ranked number two in the 100.  For the 200 meters it is flipped, with St. Jacob Diodonet is ranked 1st in the region in the 200 and Dante Brown ranked 2nd.  The 400 has St. Jacob Diodonet is ranked #1. The 4x100 relay team of Diodonet, Brown, Jarret Millien and Jaren Scott has the top time in the region, while Rickssen Opont is the top thrower in the East Region as well.
 
Meanwhile, on the women's side of the ledger, Christina Maretzo is currently ranked number one in the 1500 meters for the region. Rebecca MacLeod is currently ranked first in the region in the 800 as well. MacLeod is also ranked number two in the Steeplechase.  Ruby Pekin-Schlicht is ranked third in the 400 hurdles, while fellow freshman Ezgi Duenya Alan is ranked 2nd in the Region in the Triple Jump.
 
 
The Spartans will next compete in the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet in Easton, PA on Saturday, March 30.
