Spartans Set New Records at Army West Point Twilight

Dallas, Pa. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's and Women's Track & Field teams continued their record-breaking spring season on Thursday evening at the Army West Point Twilight meet, held at Shea Stadium on the historic grounds of the United States Military Academy.

Among the new college records set for the men's squad were Matt Tina's 5000 Meter Run, which clocked in at 15:26.41, good for third place, and Stephane Fortune's 110 Meter Hurdles finish in a time of 15.51, which placed him seventh. DeAndre Smith's leap of 2.07 meters in the High Jump set two marks on the day, a new school record in the event and is the current NCAA Division II Championship provisional qualifying standard. Smith also finished first among his competitors.

On the women's side of the ledger, Linise Greene finished second in the 400 Meter Dash in a time of 1:01.32.
