The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team continued its indoor season at the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday. The event, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island, showcased some of the top talents on both the collegiate level and international circuits.
Stellar Spartan performances on the day, include Emmanuel Mena Jimenez's fifth place finish in the Weight Throw, with a toss of 17.34m (56'11"), Miles Fisher's seventh place finish in the 60 Meter Hurdles, in a time of 9.26 and Nicole Gysin's fourth place finish in the 60 Meter Hurdles, clocking in at 9.95.
The Spartans now begin preparations for the 2023 East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, which take place on Sunday, February 19 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Events begin at 4p.m.
