Miami, Fla. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track & Field team kicked off its 2023 spring outdoor season in the Sunshine State on Friday afternoon at the St. Thomas University Spring Break Invitational.
On the day, the Spartan men took victory in the meet, while the women's squad placed fourth in the event hosted by the Bobcats and former STAC Head Coach Lorne Marcus.
Headlining the men's first place finishes were Miles Fisher in the 110 Meter Hurdles (18.02), Jayden Bennermon in the High Jump (2.00m) and Andrew Drescher in the Javelin (48.54), which also sets a new school record.
Meanwhile on the women's side of the ledger, Ciara Durcan took victory in the 5000 Meter Race Walk (25.59.61) and Guerlourde Estabine placing first in the 100 Meter Hurdles (17.27).
St. Thomas Aquinas returns to action on Saturday, March 25 (10:00 a.m.) at the Queens College Season Opener in New York City.
