Staten Island, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Track and Field team closed out its Fall 2022 Semester schedule at the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout within the friendly confines of the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday afternoon.
The Spartans faced off against athletes from several institutions such as Monmouth University, Long Island University, Wagner College, NJIT, Penn, District of Columbia, Queens College and Holy Family University, among other Division I, II and III competitors.
Headlining the outstanding performances for the Spartans were Emmanuel Mena Jimenez's second place finish in the Weight Throw with a toss of 17.25m/56'7.25" and Nicole Gysin's sixth place finish in the High Jump with a leap of 1.45m/4'9".
STAC returns to action after the holidays and mandatory NCAA Division II break, as the Spartans will open 2023 at the Wagner College Invitational on Friday, January 6. The day's events begin at 1pm at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY.
