The ECC Preseason Co-Athlete of the Year (with Pierre) also excelled in the shot put, competing in the event eight times, the final resulting in the bronze medal at ECCs at 14.75m (48’ 4 3/4”). Mena Jimenez’s season-best mark in the shot put of 15.30m (50' 2 1/2”) ranks third in the ECC and fifth in the NCAA East Region.

Mena Jimenez has qualified to compete in the NCAA Division II National Championships, which will be hosted by Pittsburg State University and Explore Crawford County, and held at the Robert W. In his first indoor championship, Manny will battle D2's best in the Weight Throw competition, where he finished regular season ranked 15th in the country with a toss of 20.22m (66'4.25"). Mena Jimenez hit his first provisional mark back in early December at TCNJ Winter Opener.
