Farino-Esposito, Maxwell & Mena Jimenez Headline ECC Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

St. Thomas Aquinas College's Isabella Farino-Esposito, Leelan Maxwell and Emmanuel Mena Jimenez were each named East Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field weekly award receipents on Monday, following the Spartans latest meet, the United States Merchant Marine Academy Coach Omeltchenko Invitational. Farino-Esposito earned Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors, while Maxwell took home Men's Track Athlete of the week accolades and Mena Jimenez scored Men's Field Athlete of the Week kudos.

Farino-Esposito (Pearl River, NY) took first in the 400 Meter Hurdles (1:14.75) and 4x400 Meter Relay (4:24.21), second in the 4x100 Meter Relay (53.48), third in the 400 Meter Dash (1:05.27), and sixth in the Javelin (24.28m) to help her teammates to a first-place team finish.

Maxwell (Greenburg, N.Y.) placed first in the 200 Meter Dash field of 49 (22.66), second in both the 100 Meter Dash (11.27) and 4x100 Meter Relay (43.55), and fourth in the Long Jump (6.54m), also helping his teammates to a first-place team finish. 

Mena Jimenez (West Haverstraw, N.Y.) won the Shot Put (14.66m), Discus (46.80m) and Hammer Throw (49.01m) events, also helping to lead his squad to a first-place team finish.

STAC next competes at The College of New Jersey Invitational on (Thursday-Saturday) April 11-13 in Ewing, New Jersey.
